Q: How long does it take to receive confirmation after registration ?
A: If you meet the eligibilities, you should get a response from the selection team
within 5 working days of registration. First check the spam folder of your email. Reach out to us if there are unexplained delays.
Q: Are there any funding or sponsorship packages for participants
A: We fund local transport, camp materials, trips and feeding.
Unfortunately we’re unable to sponsor costs of international flights and visa
processing.
Q: I applied. Does this mean I’m qualified will attend the event?
A: Only paid up members who are issued an invitation and registration number are
eligible to participate.

Q: Do I need to apply for a visa ?
A: Some attendees will need to apply for visa to travel to Ghana. A visa may be
obtained from Consulates or other Embassies authorized by the Government of Ghana
to issue visas on her behalf. Check the Participants Guide to see if you need a visa for your trip to the Africa Youth Camp.
Q: When should I send in my visa application? How long does it take?
A: Processing times for visa applications vary depending on the visa office and the
time of the year. Participants are encouraged to apply as soon as their registration is
confirmed to ensure they receive the visa in time.
Q: Does Global Youth Network give assistance for visa acquisition?
A: Having confirmed you as a participant, we will issue to you an official letter or other such relevant information to enable you process your visa if you need one for your travel to Ghana.
To facilitate visa processing, we have made arrangements with various foreign
missions. Contact your consulates.
Q: How can my organization become a partner/sponsor?
A: We’re open to partnerships that are in line with our vision. To support this initiative ,

Q: Can my organization participate as a delegation?
A: We welcome delegations from universities/student groups, youth-based
organizations, national and international agencies. If you are interested in sending a
delegation, reach out to us.
Q: What is the application process breakdown and timelines?
A: Step 1- Registration for the camp through filling the application form through
this website.
Step 2 – After you have applied and your application is accepted you will receive an
official letter of invitation and directions to make payment of the camp fee.
Step 3 – The participant will be added to the final list of participants

Camper Application Process

Camp Fee

 Regular: $250 covers registration, shared accommodation (2 per room), ground transportation, fun trips, conference materials and meals for the duration of the camp.
 Premium: $350 covers registration, accommodation (single), ground transportation, fun trips, conference materials and meals for the duration of the camp.
 Resident Ghanaians: GH ₵1,000 covers registration, shared accommodation, ground transportation, fun trips, conference materials and meals for the duration of the camp.
 Non-Resident Ghanaians: GH ₵500 covers registration, ground transportation, fun trips, conference materials and meals for the duration of the camp.

NB: Campers are responsible for their own travels and visa fees.
Campers who wish to extend their stay before or after the camp dates, or who wish for other services not covered by the camp fee are expected to shoulder their own expenses.
GYN does not offer scholarships or financial assistance for the African Youth Camp; however, we may provide cover letters to help you request for funding from contacts and institutions.

Eligibilities

• Should be aged between 18 and 35 years
• Citizen of an African Country
• Ability to fund your international travel cost and camp fees
• Demonstrate experience and strong capacity in community service and youth development.
• Interested in leadership and entrepreneurship for Africa sustainable development.

About The Camp

Join us in Accra, Ghana this year for the unique and amazing international experience with this leadership training program. The Global Youth Network (GYN) is accepting applications to participate in its African Youth Camp for emerging leaders.
Overview
The African Youth Camp is an experiential learning program designed for young people from different corners of Africa. It highlights cross-cultural exchange, self-exploration, leadership development, global friendship, collaboration, and youth empowerment.
The Camp will bring together more than 200 youth leaders and youth workers from a wide range of ethnic, religious and cultural background from Africa.
The focus of the camp will be the development of competences of youth workers and exchange of practices of youth NGOs, social change agents, emerging leaders and young entrepreneurs
The 4 day residential program presents an opportunity for holistic self-development, and leadership training through lectures, seminars, workshops, dialogues, and team-building activities related to the Sustainable development goals (SDGs), entrepreneurship, personal development and leadership.
Guided by our dynamic team of staff, speakers and facilitators, campers will take part in an intensive formation process as well as fun and lively outdoor excursions throughout the week.
Theme: Creating community, inspiring today’s leaders for Africa’s sustainable development.
